Job Advertisement: Teaching Assistant with SEN Experience

Location: Dronfield (S18 area)

Position: Teaching Assistant for Year 1 Class

Start Date: Week commencing 31st March 2025

Schedule:

  • Tuesday: Morning only
  • Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: All day

Duration: Long-term basis until the end of the academic year.

Break: 2 weeks for Easter holidays, returning on Monday 21st April 2025

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the class teacher in delivering lessons and activities
  • Assisting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to ensure they receive tailored support
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Monitoring and recording students' progress and providing feedback
  • Assisting with classroom management and maintaining a safe environment

Skills Required:

  • Experience working with children with SEN
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Relevant qualifications in education or childcare
