Port Logistics Manager required for a major offshore wind developer based in Germany

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Consenting Lead in delivery of offshore wind project programme milestones via co-ordinating and supporting the development and assessment of project specific consenting tasks.
  • Prepare and/or review technical scopes of work documents for Consenting activities and provision of support to other disciplines as deemed necessary.
  • Responsible for highlighting key consenting project risks and associated issues, communicating effectively to Consenting Lead and project management teams on these matters, and providing support to risk mitigation implementation and monitoring.
  • Collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams/packages to deliver and optimize the project Consenting Strategy in line with project milestones.
  • Manage environmental and technical consultants and review technical reports.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of the consenting process applicable to offshore wind developments in Scotland and the UK (Environmental Impact Assessment process, Habitats Regulation, marine licensing/planning and related statutory processes etc.)
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and practices in Scotland and the UK.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and proven track record of managing internal and external stakeholders and leading successful public consultation consultations.
  • Stay updated with industry advancements and best practices applicable to consenting and environmental impact.

Requirements

  • Applicant will have a minimum of seven years' professional experience in the area of environmental consenting and Environmental Impact Assessment within the offshore wind sector.
  • Applicant will have a formal qualification in Engineering or Science degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Applicant will have a thorough understanding of offshore windfarm consenting activities and milestones.
  • A pro-active attitude with proven experience of interfacing and collaborating effectively across multidisciplinary teams, in a solution focused manner, to support decision making:
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Able to travel as required with a valid driving license and passport.
  • Level 8 Engineering or Environmental Degree or equivalent.
  • Level 9 Masters Degree in Engineering.
  • Chartered status of a recognised professional institution.
  • Project Management qualification.
