Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Executive to join a dynamic team. This position would suite a highly motivated proactive individual with current experience in targeting new business within the steel, manufacturing, stockholding, mill or sub-contract industry. You wouldn't have a data base to start with so must have knowledge of how to find and target new business within the above market sectors. The Business Development Executive will play a crucial role in expanding their client base and enhancing the market presence.
Duties:
- Will be based at our office in Dudley
- Geographical area you can target, UK
- Would be expected to be on the road 3-4 days a week
- Researching and targeting potential new customers
- Making your own appointments
- Writing of reports from visits
- Able to forge good relationships with engineers and buyers
- Able to plane their own diary for the week
- Current clean driving licence
- Must have experience in selling into engineering/manufacturing/fabrication companies
- You will be selling sub- contract laser cutting and folding
- Computer literate.
- Hours in the office 8-5 Monday to Thursday 8-4.30 Fridays
- Hours will vary to suite your appointments
- Reporting to the director
Experience:
- Proven experience in business development or sales roles
- Some knowledge of drawings would be advantageous
- Must have experience in selling into engineering/manufacturing/fabrication companies
- Some knowledge of steel is required.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on achieving targets and driving results.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to adapt strategies based on market feedback.
