We are now looking for an experienced Assistant Service Manager to join our growing team and play a vital role in supporting our service operations.
Role Overview:
As the Assistant Service Manager, you will support the Service Manager in the day-to-day management of the service department. You will be responsible for overseeing the efficient delivery of repairs, maintenance, and customer service, while managing a team of skilled technicians. Your leadership and organizational skills will ensure the team delivers high-quality service and meets customer expectations. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Service Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the service department.
- Supervise and support a team of technicians, ensuring effective use of time and resources.
- Schedule and prioritize service jobs to meet customer needs and maximize efficiency.
- Monitor service quality, ensuring all repairs and maintenance are carried out to the highest standards.
- Liaise with customers to resolve service-related issues and provide updates on job progress.
- Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Help with the ordering of parts and managing inventory to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with company procedures and industry regulations.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the forklift or heavy equipment industry is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of forklift maintenance and repair is advantageous.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and customer service.
