Job Purpose:
The Social Value Coordinator will support the delivery of social value initiatives within residential social housing projects. Working closely with internal teams, housing associations, contractors, and community stakeholders, the role ensures that projects create lasting social impact for residents and local communities.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Value Delivery & Reporting
- Assist in the development and implementation of social value plans aligned with corporate and project-specific goals.
- Track and report on social value activities, ensuring compliance with frameworks such as the Social Value Act and other relevant standards.
- Collect and analyse data to measure the impact of social value initiatives, producing reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Community Engagement & Events
- Organise and attend community events, training workshops, and engagement sessions (travel required 1-3 days per month).
- Build relationships with residents, local organisations, charities, and social enterprises to support community-driven initiatives.
- Support apprenticeship, employment, and skills development programs within housing projects.
Collaboration & Partnerships
- Work alongside housing teams, contractors, and supply chain partners to embed social value into procurement and project delivery.
- Identify and coordinate volunteering opportunities and charitable initiatives that align with company objectives.
- Liaise with local authorities and funding bodies to leverage additional resources for community projects.
Communications & Awareness
- Promote social value achievements through case studies, newsletters, and social media updates.
- Assist in producing marketing materials and presentations showcasing the impact of initiatives.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Experience in social value, community engagement, corporate social responsibility (CSR), or a related field within social housing or construction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with social value measurement tools
- Willingness to travel occasionally for events and engagement activities.
