The Client
A privately owned company located in the West Midlands established 35 years ago and one of the leading manufacturers in their field. This client is enjoying continued growth and is strengthening their staff with the appointment of a Technical Sales Engineer.
The Role
As Technical Sales Engineer / Estimator you will report to the Managing Director and be responsible for responding to all quotation requests in a timely and efficiant manner.You will be expected to prepare and deliver quotations and respond to other enquiries both efficiently and accurately. You will communicate via telephone, by email and on occasion face to face. You will liaise with all departments for production, planning and delvery. You will be IT literate and be capable of multi-tasking and working under guidance yet also be self-motivated.
The Candidate
The successful applicant for this role of Internal Sales Engineer will be highly communicative, and work with extreme accuracy in completing quotations and providing the customer with information. You will be in constant touch with each department and the customer through manufacture to ensure that accurate delivery dates etc. are being met and momentum maintained and you will communicate all information regarding their order to the customer from cradle to grave. You will be capable of managing a desk and ensuring orders are processed and quotes and tenders are all done in a timely manner. If you have worked in a similar role and have an understanding of design, layout and preparation of manufacturing quotations this would be considered advantageous.Knowledge of metal processing is also desirable.
