Milk Education is offering full-time positions for Psychology Graduates as Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) in Greater Manchester schools for the academic year September 2024 to July 2025. This role provides hands-on experience supporting students with Autism and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ideal for those pursuing careers in educational psychology, social work, or related fields.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Individualized Support: Assist students with Autism and other SEND in one-to-one and small group settings.

  • IEP Implementation: Help develop and execute Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.

  • Progress Monitoring: Observe and document student development, providing feedback to teachers and parents.

  • Collaborative Teaching: Work with educators to deliver inclusive teaching methods.

  • Personal Care Assistance: Support students with personal care needs, with training provided as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Psychology or a related field.

  • Experience with children or young people with Autism or SEND is advantageous but not required.

  • Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional learning needs.

  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
