Robert Half are working with a reputable business based in South Bristol who are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Reconciliation Analyst for a 2-3 month contract role. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing and improving financial reconciliation processes, auditing existing reconciliation practices, and solving ad-hoc issues as they arise. This is a hands-on role where you will get into the details, tackle complex problems, and drive improvements within our financial systems.

Rate: £350 - £400pd (Via Umbrella)

Start: ASAP

Duration: 2 /3 Months

Hybrid working 2 days working in the office

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quality reviews of balance sheet reconciliations (prioritised based on risk assessments).
  • Document key findings from reconciliation reviews and recommend corrective actions.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of reconciliation processes, identifying areas for optimisation/standardisation.
  • Provide valuable input on the development and updating of existing balance sheet reconciliation templates.
  • Design and implement standardised supporting documentation for balance sheet reconciliations, including control accounts and independently managed accounts.
  • Take on critical ad-hoc tasks and special projects as assigned by the management team, ensuring timely and accurate completion.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
  • Confidence in analysing complex financial data.
  • Strong communication skills.
