We’re working with an expanding company who are looking for a driven, go-getter to take on the newly created role of Business Development Manager- Aerospace & Defence.

This role combines managing existing accounts with hunting for new opportunities in the Aerospace & Defence sector. With a strong industry presence and ambitious growth plans, we need someone who understands how to sell system-level products into defence applications and has solid connections with Tier 1 and Tier 2 Prime Contractors in the UK.

You’ll be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business, building strong relationships with key prospects, and promoting cutting-edge solutions like embedded computing platforms, rugged enclosures, backplanes, and power supplies. Managing the full sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure, you’ll work to exceed sales and margin targets while growing market presence.

Success in this role requires a deep understanding of the industry, the ability to stay ahead of market trends, and a strong network within the defence sector. You’ll also represent the company at key industry events and trade shows, ensuring maximum visibility and engagement.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of direct sales experience in Aerospace & Defence, with a strong track record of winning new business and exceeding targets. Experience selling designed and manufactured system-level products into defence applications is essential, along with excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Strong connections with Tier 1 and Tier 2 Prime Contractors will be a significant advantage.

A background in defence applications such as EW, C4ISR, Command & Control, Tactical Communications, and AI would be beneficial. The ability to manage complex sales cycles, deliver high-quality proposals and presentations, and work independently in a fast-paced environment is also key.
