Role: BID Manager

Salary: £40,000 - £55,000

Are you a skilled BID Manager ready to lead tendering strategies and secure exciting projects in the structural steel sector? We're looking for a dynamic professional to join a renowned organisation specialising in designing, manufacturing, and constructing complex steel structures.

The Role

As a BID Manager, you will:

  • Lead the preparation and submission of competitive tenders for diverse structural steel projects.
  • Manage all tendering activities, ensuring alignment with business strategies and client expectations.
  • Evaluate all technical, material, transportation, fabrication, and construction costs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including design, construction, and sales to ensure seamless bid preparation.
  • Develop key interface packages such as decking, stairs, edge protection, and fire protection.
  • Facilitate tender adjudication, client presentations, and handover to delivery teams upon project award.
  • Cultivate strong client relationships to secure repeat business and foster partnerships.
About You

We're looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience in a BID Manager, Estimator, or Quantity Surveying role within structural steel or a related industry.
  • The ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings confidently.
  • Strong commercial acumen and excellent negotiation skills.
  • Experience managing complex bids from start to finish.
  • Knowledge of steel fabrication and construction processes (advantageous but not essential).
