R2R (Record to Report) Global Process Owner

Robert Half are partnering with a large multi-national business based on the outskirts of Bristol to recruit a newly created R2R Global Process Owner role.

The organisation has recently outsourced a large proportion of their finance processes and are going through an exciting period of significant change. Therefore, they are looking for an experienced professional in finance transformation, R2R process ownership, or finance operations within a large multinational company.

The Role

This role will help in leading and supporting the design, delivery and transformation of our organisation's global RTR processes and systems. You will collaborate with a team of RTR & ERP professionals, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and provide strategic direction to optimise global RTR operations.

Key Duties:

  • Define and monitor the R2R process, driving improvements and standardisation.
  • Review and simplify processes, structures, and systems, setting KPIs.
  • Lead global R2R strategy, including policies and technologies.
  • Drive cost reduction and maximise returns through ERP.
  • Identify service improvement opportunities and implement technical/process solutions.
  • Design and implement the ERP RTR solution.
  • Manage process documentation, SOPs, data governance, and training with BPO.
  • Define and monitor RTR service levels and KPIs with the BPO.
  • Apply best practices across R2R activities with relevant stakeholders.
  • Align stakeholders to ensure consistent, efficient processes that meet business needs.
  • Benchmark shared services against industry trends to drive continuous improvements.
  • Improve internal controls to better monitor transaction risk and financial exposure.
  • Lead adoption of standardised processes, customising for legal/tax compliance.

Your Profile

  • Previous experience finance transformation, R2R process ownership, or finance operations within a large multinational company.
  • Proven expertise in ERP deployments including hands-on experience in system implementation and process design.
  • Experience working with BPO/shared services providers, with a strong understanding of outsourced finance operations.
  • Strong knowledge of financial close, consolidation, intercompany accounting, and external reporting.
  • Experience in leading global teams and driving business process transformation.
  • Data-driven decision-making skills and the ability to monitor performance using KPIs
  • Knowledge of working in global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows.
