Job Title: Senior Operations Manager (Contract) Location: Remote (candidates must be UK Based) Contract Duration: 6 months Day Rate: £500 - £550 per day (Inside IR35) Start Date: ASAP We are recruiting for a Senior Operations Manager on behalf of a large public sector organization. This is a high-impact role, responsible for leading a team through a period of restructuring and ensuring smooth operations across multiple areas. You will report directly to senior leadership and play a crucial part in driving performance, risk management, and team engagement. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 40 individuals, including 3 senior managers, focused on administrative processes such as claim submissions, queries, and bankruptcy eligibility checks.
  • Conduct daily performance meetings and manage five direct reports, ensuring that competencies are met across the team.
  • Identify and resolve operational risks and issues, escalating concerns to senior management.
  • Foster a positive, high-performing team culture, ensuring team members feel supported and engaged.
  • Oversee a small project team, including a Business Analyst, ensuring all operational elements are running smoothly.
  • Support the start-to-end claims process, ensuring administrative tasks and stakeholder queries are managed effectively.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience managing large teams, ideally 40+ members, and senior managers in a remediation or scheme-related environment.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience navigating teams through restructuring periods.
  • Expertise in operational risk management, with a keen ability to identify issues and implement solutions quickly.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in sectors such as Retail, Financial Services, or Banking.
  • Familiarity with similar administrative schemes or claims processes.

Interview Process:

  • Two-stage interview via MS Teams, conducted by senior stakeholders.
