Locum Housing Disrepair Lawyer - 3 Months + - Remote Working - Up to £55 per hour Umbrella – Home Counties

Position: Locum Housing Disrepair Lawyer

Organisation: Home Counties Local Authority

Duration: 3 months + with a likelihood of extension thereafter

Working Pattern: Full time

Working Arrangement: Remote Working can be considered, but attendance would be advantageous

Hourly Rate: Up to £55 per hour Umbrella

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within a Local Authority and will have an in-depth understanding of Housing Litigation matters with a focus on Housing Disrepair.

Duties may include:

  • Undertake all aspects of legal work relating to Housing Disrepair
  • Manage Housing Disrepair cases at all stages of Pre-Litigation/Litigation
  • Ensure compliance with the Housing Disrepair Pre-Action Protocol
  • Advise on the management of risk on complex and contentious legal issues
  • Represent the Council in court and Conduct advocacy where appropriate
  • Negotiate and draft complex agreements and documents in the area of Housing Disrepair and provide clear case strategy on cases
  • Assess evidence in relation to Housing disrepair matters and determine the likely prospects of success and the public interest in prosecuting matter
