Our client are seeking a highly skilled Finance Data Platform Manager to join their dynamic finance team. This is a critical role responsible for overseeing the development, maintenance, and optimisation of our finance data platform, ensuring they support business decision-making and financial reporting.

Description

  • Manage and maintain the finance data platform, ensuring seamless integration with financial systems.

  • Develop and implement data governance frameworks to improve data quality and consistency.

  • Work closely with finance teams to understand data requirements and provide technical solutions.

  • Lead data transformation initiatives, leveraging automation and analytics to enhance reporting capabilities.

  • Oversee data security and compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.

  • Drive continuous improvements in data processing, ensuring high levels of performance and reliability.

  • Collaborate with IT and data teams to develop scalable and efficient infrastructure.

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to data analysts and finance professionals on best data practices.

Profile

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong finance and data expertise.

  • Proven experience in finance data management, data warehousing, or financial systems architecture.

  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, planning, and analytics.

  • Expertise in data governance, data modeling, and data integration techniques.

  • Proficiency in data visualization and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.

  • Knowledge of data query languages is highly desirable.

  • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday) and finance databases.

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to optimizing finance data processes.
