Backup Solutions Engineer – Remote – Up to £70,000 per Annum

VIQU have partnered with a leading data protection provider specialising in managed backup, disaster recovery, and cyber recovery services.

They are seeking a Backup Solutions Engineer to join their Delivery Service team. In this client-facing role, the Backup Solutions Engineer will engage directly with C suite level global clients, providing recommendations for improvements to their data backup technologies.

Responsibilities of the Backup Solutions Engineer:

• Run multiple regular service reviews for global customers, identifying opportunity for further services, discussing functionality, configurations, licensing and service improvements
• Offer customers tailored backup solutions, helping to upsell on any opportunities. 
• Proactively keep on top of new backup technologies, helping to advise the customers around these technologies
• Recognise the customer roadmap, explaining how backup technologies can influence their infrastructure (networks / firewalls / servers)

• Production of reporting templates and assessment of SLAs and metrics

Requirements of the Backup Solutions Engineer:

• Previous experience working in a Solutions Engineer/ Service Delivery Manager / Customer Success Manager role focusing on backup technologies for a Managed Service Provider.
• In depth knowledge of a range of backup and DR technologies (Rubrik, Druva, Zerto, Commvault, NetBackup etc.) – Must be able to confidently talk at a high level in terms of how a backup environment works and the components that make up the environment. 
• Technical understanding of how backup and DR products integrate with infrastructure such as Windows, M365, VMWare, Networking, Data Centres, Firewalls etc.
•  Must be a strong communicator, having previously ran service reviews with C level customers
