Locum Housing Disrepair Lawyer – 3 months + – Remote Working – Full Time – Up to £55 per hour – Midlands

Position: Locum HousingDisrepair Lawyer

Organisation: Midlands

Duration: 3 months + rolling contract

Working Pattern: Full Time

Working Arrangement: Remote Working, apart from IT collection on the first day

Hourly Rate: Up to £55 per hour (Umbrella)

Start: within 1-2 weeks

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within a Local Authority and can demonstrate knowledge of Housing Litigation matters, with an emphasis on Housing Disrepair matters.

Duties may include:

  • Undertake all aspects of legal work relating to Housing Litigation with a focus on Housing Disrepair; matters relating to s.11 Landlord and Tenant Act and s.4 Defective Premises Act
  • To defend possession matters & other matters relating to Landlord and Tenant Act
  • Handle Disrepair cases, Anti-Social Behaviour related matters, Pre Action Protocols, & application for Judicial Reviews on Homelessness and Allocation matters
  • Liaise and work collaboratively with other legal representatives
  • To prepare & manage a caseload in relation to Housing Management & support case preparation for Court
