Locum Civil Litigation/Insurance Lawyer – Hybrid working – 3-6 months+ - Up to £55 per hour Umbrella – East Anglia

Venn Group’s specialist legal team are pleased to be recruiting for a Locum Civil Litigation/InsuranceLawyer to join a lovely and supportive team in a Public Sector Organisation in East Anglia.

This assignment will be for an initial period of 3-6 months with the likelihood of an extension thereafter.

The ideal candidate would work full time on a hybrid working basis.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within a Local Authority and will have a broad working understanding of Debt Recovery including care home fees, planning enforcement, drainage and highways issues, adverse possession and human rights claims.

Duties may include:

  • Processing various types of Civil Litigation/Disputes matters (EL/PL/RTA – small claims, fast track & multi-track) from instruction to settlement/completion, including drafting of formal responses to claims, Court documents and forms, statements, and applications, and providing advice to internal Insurance clients
  • Provision of training and ongoing supervision to fellow team members in respect of EL/PL/RTA matters
  • Processing and drafting Highways Agreements, Traffic Regulation Orders, Experimental Traffic Orders, public Notices and other legal documentation as required, and providing advice to clients on the same, from instruction through to completion of matters
  • Provision of training and ongoing supervision to fellow team members in respect of all varieties of Traffic Management matters, particularly permanent and temporary traffic orders, and assisting team members where required in respect of Civil Litigation/Disputes matters
  • Processing various types of Civil Litigation/Disputes matters from instruction to settlement/completion, including drafting of formal responses to claims, Court documents and forms, statements, and applications, and providing advice to internal Insurance clients

An attractive hourly rate of up to £55 per hour Umbrella is offered for this position dependant on experience.
