Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer – Initial 3 months+ – Remote Working

We are currently recruiting for a Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join a Local Authority on a remote working basis. This is an initial 3-month assignment, offering up to £55 per hour (Umbrella).

In this role, you will be responsible for handling a wide range of commercial contracts, with the chance to contribute to an ambitious transformation and improvement programme within the Council. Prior experience in transformation projects is desirable, and the successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in managing complex contracts to support the Council's strategic goals.

Role Details:

  • Duration: initial 3 months (with potential for extension)
  • Location: Remote working
  • Rate: Up to £55 per hour (Umbrella)
  • Key Responsibilities: Drafting, negotiating, and advising on a variety of commercial contracts.
  • Supporting the Council’s transformation and improvement agenda.
  • Provide proactive advice on a wide range of commercial matters, including procurement, supply agreements, and service contracts.
  • Strong working knowledge and prior experience in handling PFI agreements, from negotiation through to lifecycle management.
