Position: Locum Civil Litigation Paralegal
Organisation: Midlands based Local Authority
Duration: 3 months + with the potential to be a rolling contract
Working Hours: Ideally Full Time but Part Time candidates (4 days per week) may still be considered who possess the relevant experience
Working Arrangement: Predominantly Remote Working with occasional Court/Office attendance may be required
Hourly Rate: £24 per hour Umbrella dependent on experience
We are seeking an experienced professional with a solid background in Civil Litigation Law, ideally gained within a Local Authority or Private Practice background. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload, with a particular advantage for those bringing knowledge of Property & Commercial Litigation.
Duties may include:
•             Draft, review, and negotiate Contracts
•             Experience in property litigation including dealing with landlord and tenant disputes, forfeiture claims, trespass/encroachment claims, and dilapidations
•             Assisting Solicitors with Civil Litigation cases at all stages of Pre-Litigation/Litigation
•             Ensure compliance with the Civil Litigation Pre-Action Protocol
•             Ensure compliance with GDPR by overseeing data protection policies and practices
•             Assist to represent the Council/Solicitor in Court and conduct advocacy where appropriate in mainly remote hearings with some Court attendance may be required
This position has an attractive rate up to £24 per hour Umbrella dependent on experience.
