Locum Legal Assistant – South West Local Authority – 3 months + - Remote WorkingÂ
Venn Group’s specialist Legal team has partnered with a South West Local Authority which is seeking to appoint an experienced Legal Assistant to join their legal team on an interim basis.
This is a full-time position, offered for an initial term of 3 months. Fully remote working is available.
Duties and responsibilities may include:
- Providing advice on routine and simple legal issues and cases
- Researching and understanding relevant areas of the law to ensure Council policies and procedures remain compliant
- Supporting the team with their caseloads
- Keeping up to date with changes in legislation
- Establishing and maintaining good working relationships, both with clients and other members of staff.
- Any other duties appropriate to the grade as may be assigned by one of the Legal Service Managers
Prior experience within a Commercial Contracts legal team, in either the public or the private sector, is essential.
An hourly umbrella rate of up to £25 D.O.E is offered for this role.
