My client, an international Manufacturer who service a number of sectors, are looking for a Procurement Manager to join their team, who are based in North Somerset, just outside of Bristol.
Responsible for: Developing and managing procurement strategies for equipment and materials to ensure prompt, cost-effective supply to the UK operating businesses.
Directly managing and motivating a team of buyers, ensuring efficient procurement operations and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Developing and managing strategic supplier relationships and implementing procurement best practices to support the company's operational objectives.
- Understand business requirements to establish and maintain a competitive supply base aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
- Lead commercial negotiations with supply partners and draft legal contracts.
- Develop strategic category plans, including demand forecasting, consideration of market factors, and agreeing an opportunity pipeline with the business.
- Deliver value through sourcing exercises and continuous improvement via supplier management of key strategic relationships.
- Proactively identify, evaluate, and pursue procurement options that offer value for money.
- Identify price trends within the supply chain that may impact the business and advise on their implications for future activities.
