Prospero Teaching currently have multiple mentoring positions open across Wiltshire. These roles offer a chance to make a significant difference in the lives of young people with varied needs and learning objectives.
As a Mentor, you will:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver tailored mentoring sessions to suit the needs of particular children.
- Base activities around what individuals enjoy and what they are interested in, so that they are positively engaging with a trusted, professional adult. Activities can include: baking, art projects, going out into the community safely, going for walks, finding a park they like, museum/ history trips, science projects etc. Mentoring may assist with SEMH needs or have a general goal of getting the child to engage positively/ feel more positively about their education.
- Record student progress and report on this weekly.
- Be understanding, empathetic and patient.
- Record attendance.

* HLTA
* ELSA
* SEN Teacher
* Primary school Teacher
* Secondary school Teacher
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
- Hold right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide references upon request
- Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
