Carbon60 are looking for an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to join a world leading energy solutions client based near Glasgow, Scotland on a 6-month contract. Our client is looking for someone who can act as group authority with a high level of electrical engineering expertise.

This role will suit a seasoned professional electrical engineer with a background in design/development who is confident in ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Job Description

  • Lead Electrical Engineer for a world-renowned energy solutions provider
  • 6-month contract minimum 3 days a week onsite in Dumbarton
  • Project responsibility over the electrical design engineering of continuing developments and technical support through subject matter expertise
  • Anticipate likely engineering issues and implement quick resolutions as they arise
  • Maintain compliance with regulations, standards and legislation and ensure all documentation is complete throughout the product lifecycle
  • Ensure electrical aspects of projects can adhere to a variety of applications and environments whilst ensuring component and system cost reduction

Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Relevant experience and training in product development and design
  • Chartered Engineer/CEng
  • Substantial experience within the electrical engineering industry
  • Management, supervisory or leadership experience
