Are you experienced in a factory setting and looking for an opportunity to make an impact?

Talento Group is recruiting for a Materials Coordinator, who is a local Plastic Manufacturer.We are looking fora proactive, detail-oriented individual to help optimise material usage, reduce waste, and ensure the smooth running of our materials operations.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Material Waste Reduction: Work closely with team leaders to identify and address material waste issues. Implement corrective processes and strategies to maximise the efficient use of materials, including scrap material.
  • Inventory Management : Oversee the materials room, ensuring all raw materials and supplies are stocked, organised, and reordered as required to avoid shortages.
  • Process Improvement : Collaborate with various teams to introduce sustainable solutions for scrap and wasted material usage, actively contributing to reducing material costs and environmental impact.
  • Space Maintenance : Maintain a clean, well-organised material room to ensure optimal workflow and safety.
  • Collaboration : Communicate effectively with production, procurement, and other key departments to ensure the timely and efficient flow of materials.

 

About You:

  • Factory Experience: Prior experience working in a manufacturing or factory environment is essential.
  • Attention to Detail : Strong organisational skills with the ability to track and manage inventory and materials accurately.
  • Problem Solver : Ability to spot potential issues with material use and waste and work towards practical solutions.
  • Team Player : Collaborative, communicative, and able to work alongside production team leaders and other departments.
  • Proactive : A self-starter with a hands-on approach, willing to take initiative to keep materials processes running smoothly.
