About the Role:

Our client is looking for a skilled and experienced dentist with at least 3 to 5 years of clinical experience as a general dentist in a busy practice or healthcare setting. As a full-time dentist within the District Health Board, you will play a key role in providing high-quality dental care to a diverse patient population, to not only patients in the public sector, but you will also deliver services to private patients with the potential for higher earnings. You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive general dentistry services while working within a multidisciplinary team to support the broader healthcare needs of the community. Previous experience working in a public health system or community-focused environment is an advantage, though not essential. You will have the opportunity to work alongside like-minded professionals in a health board that prioritises innovation and quality care. In addition, you will you experience diverse patient cases as Victoria's healthcare system serves a broad community, offering a wide variety of clinical experiences, which will enable you to expand on your clinical skills and knowledge.

Key Duties

  • Provide general dentistry, including preventative care, restorative and cosmetic dentistry, dental surgery and extractions as well emergency and accident-related dental work
  • Provide guidance and advise on oral health and hygiene
  • Develop treatment plans and educate patients on recommended procedures
  • Collaborate effectively with the wider team to ensure the best patient care
  • Uphold the clinic's high standards of hygiene, professionalism and care
  • Perform comprehensive dental exams and develop treatment plans
  • Forster strong relationships with patients and team members
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dental best practice
  • Providing a comprehensive range of dental services to patients of all ages.
  • Maintaining patient records
  • Engaging in continuing education and professional development to stay at the forefront of dental practices and technologies.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

  • Willingness to relocate to Australia
  • Bachelor's Degree in Dentistry, Dental Surgery or Dental Medicine
  • Valid UK dental license with eligibility for Australian registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and associated working visas (with support from the client)
  • Relevant qualification recognized by the Dental Board of Australia
  • Strong experience in general dentistry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to high standard of patient-centered care & strong clinical skills and standards
  • Experienced dentist with at least 3 to 5 years' experience
  • Growth-mindset, with a willingness to expand your skills and take on new challenges
