We are working with a key client who are part of a larger group and are a complementary manufacturing businesses serving energy, defence, and other industrial sectors. They operate cutting edge technology and the manufactured components are used onshore and offshore in some of the harshest environments. We are currently recruiting for an experiencedProject Managerto join this business in Dundee.
Key responsibilities require from the Project Manager:
- The ideal Project Manager will have over 7 years working experience in Project Management
- Previous experience in Management or Supervisory role with line/business management responsibility.
- Previous experience at Technician/Engineer level
- Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
- Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
- Experience of working via a project execution methodology of a gate model approach
- Direct work experience in project management capacity
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong negotiation skills
- Good reporting skills
- Strong commercial awareness and budgeting experience
- Strong leadership and people management skills. Solid organizational skills including attention to detail, multi-tasking skills, planning and time management skills
- Self-starter and ability to work fairly autonomously
- Ability to effectively work through pressure and deadlines
- Ability to make decisions and communicate effectively
Minimum Professional, Academic or Other Qualifications
- Qualification in Project Management or relevant Engineering discipline
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office package (excel, project, word)
The successful Project Manager will be managing and delivering multiple projects concurrently with responsibility for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.
