Are you an experienced finance professional looking to make a real impact in the charity sector We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our organisation in Dundee, helping to ensure financial integrity and drive process improvements across our finance function.

Senior Accountant - The Role:

As a key member of our finance team, you will take responsibility for managing and maintaining financial records, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and identifying opportunities for efficiencies. You will be an expert in Excel and have a strong grasp of manual Trial Balance (TB), with a hands-on approach to financial management.

Senior Accountant - Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain and oversee financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance

- Work across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and other finance functions, ensuring seamless financial operations

- Investigate and resolve discrepancies, understanding how all systems integrate and where issues may arise

- Identify opportunities to improve financial systems and processes, driving efficiencies across the organisation

- Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting

- Support the wider finance team, ensuring best practices are maintained

Senior Accountant - About You:

- A qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with strong experience in a finance office environment

- Highly proficient in Excel, including complex formulas, data analysis, and financial modelling

- Experienced in manual Trial Balance (TB) and able to spot and correct discrepancies

- A solid understanding of finance systems, processes, and controls, with the ability to troubleshoot and suggest improvements

- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail

- A proactive and solution-focused approach
