Sales and Membership Advisor

Location: Fife Wide (Base: Dunfermline)

Responsible To: Sales and Membership Manager

Salary: £15 per hour

Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Sales and Membership Manager, you will be responsible for promoting the company’s Leisure Active Membership Scheme, services and products, generating leads and sales to achieve monthly targets.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Undertaking promotional activities that will generate new enquiries.
  2. Developing new business through targeted groups, corporate clients and business users.
  3. Promoting and selling services by delivering presentations, internal and external promotions, consultation with business users and responding to customer enquiries.
  4. Conducting needs analysis to identify suitable products for customers and converting these opportunities into sales.
  5. Developing and following up sales leads and enquiries, undertaking sales visits to potential clients, and contributing to the production of proposals and quotations.
  6. Welcoming prospective members, providing tours of facilities, closing sales, and building relationships.
  7. Assisting in the production of weekly reports on sales progress, usage patterns, and financial transactions.
  8. Keeping abreast of activities within sports and leisure facilities.
  9. Contributing to all aspects of the application process.
  10. Participating in the company’s Contribution Management programme and undertaking learning and development opportunities.

Hours: A flexible approach to work is required, as evening and weekend work may be required.

Essential:

  • Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel and e-mail.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Be creative and innovative and make suggestions and recommendations relating to the membership scheme.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Full UK Drivers Licence and own transport
  • Ability to build rapport quickly with prospective clients.
  • Understand the benefits of physical activity and the recommended daily/weekly levels prescribed.
  • Excellent time management, prioritisation and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Highly motivated.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Evidence of generating effective team work.
  • Able to influence and persuade.
  • Personally driven to create success for self and team.
  • Ability to deal appropriately with a wide range of clients i.e. business and individuals.
