First Achieve's Engineering Division are seeking a Fabricator/Plater for their client who specialise in weighing equipment.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and plating metal components according to specifications and engineering drawings. This role requires proficiency in welding, cutting, and shaping metal, as well as the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

The Role:

  • Carry out fabrication / welding duties and associated tasks as directed by the Fabrication Foreman
  • Carry out pre-use maintenance and user checks reporting any faults to the Fabrication Foreman
  • Highlight non-conformance to Fabrication Foreman where process / product / equipment does not meet required standard
  • Ensure fabrication equipment (e.g., large drills) is used correctly
  • Be competent to manufacture products from drawings

Successful Candidate

  • Experience in Plating, Fabrication and structural steel knowledge
  • Must have experience of MIG welding and knowledge of applicable procedures including recognised apprenticeship.
  • Good timekeeping and attendance
  • Good attention to detail with positive attitude
  • Able to work as part of a team and provide support to other team members
  • Able to follow and implement internal procedures
