Your new role
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, your role encompasses several critical responsibilities. First and foremost, you'll generate innovative design solutions for new product introductions, address service fixes, and enhance existing products. Ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, customer specifications, and cost targets is a key aspect of your work. You'll meticulously detail designs, compile accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), and promptly release drawings to support the development process. Additionally, you'll provide essential support during prototype builds and collaborate effectively with other engineering teams to ensure successful project execution.


What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this challenging yet rewarding position, you should hold a degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline. Effective communication skills, both oral and written, are essential for interacting with team members across different levels of the company hierarchy. Experience with 3D CAD system operation is crucial, along with a solid understanding of engineering principles.
