Electrical Improver | Essex | 40 Hours per week - Although overtime is not guaranteed, average hours are 50+ per week for around 10 months of the year | Starting salary £25,000 reviewed after probation period

Are you the right person for the job?

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

• Understanding of Wiring Regulations
• Awareness of H+S regulations on site
• Clean drivers licence
• Min age 21

Desirable Qualifications/Experience:

• Excellent communication skills
• C&G Level 3 Electrical Installations
• C&G 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Ability to communicate with Clients at all levels
• Ability to travel at short notice including long distance
• Team player
• Willing to work overtime when required including working away from home Monday - Friday

What will your role as an Electrical Improver look like?

• Ensure the company's quality standards are met
• Ensure safety standards on site are met (H+S /CDM Regulations)
• Perform tasks as instructed by the site supervisor
• Assisting Electrical Engineers as required
• Assist in Installation of tray work, conduit, trunking
• Assist in Installation SWA type cabling at various sizes
• Assist in Installation of distribution boards
• Working in Electrical installation in Industrial Environments
• Assist with Fire extinguisher servicing
• Assisting with Portable testing as required
• Assisting with Fixed appliance Testing as required
• Working in wide variety of environments from schools, hospitals, airports, train stations, luxary hotels and more

What can you expect in return?

Remuneration Package:

• Overtime is paid at time and a half after 40 hrs
• Saturdays –Time and a half,
• Sundays – Double time all day
• 28 days annual leave including Statutory Bank Holidays
• Company Pension Scheme (after probationary period)
• Training is provided by the company along with supported career development
• Further levels of pay are achievable once qualified

Benefits:

• Working away from home is expected around 25% of the year, accommodation is a single room per person provided by the company at Travel Lodge across the UK (if available)
• Expenses are paid at £20 per night
