Job description

Red Rock Partnership Limited are delighted to be working with our prestigious client in Duns, Scottish Borders who are looking for Powered Pallet Truck Operator to join their busy team.

About the Business:

Our client is one of the UK’s largest growers and packers of fresh potatoes, supplying some of the country’s largest retailers and processors from 2 production facilities.

About The Role:

This role includes ensuring Production is provided with all of the equipment required to complete orders on time and moving finished pallets safely into the Despatch area. To ensure that all barrow product movements are completed effectively and safely.

Shift pattern : Monday to Friday; 07:00 - 16:00

Pay rate : £12.66 per hour

This is a PERMANENT position.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Effectively communicating with colleagues and other departments

Providing Production with equipment e.g. crates, pallets and boxes

Ensuring sufficient pallet wrap, straps and buckles are available

Performing all barrow duties effectively, efficiently and safely within the allocated department

Complying with all H&S procedures and to conduct daily forklift checks as per company policy

Ensuring accidents, incidents, dangerous occurrences are reported accordingly

Ensuring your departmental work area is kept safe for all employees, contractors or visitors

Moving finished pallets into the Despatch department and scanning against the new location

About you:

Excellent communication skills

Clear understanding of Health and Safety

Good time management to ensure tasks are completed effectively and on time

Team player

Pallet truck licence, however training can be provided to the successful candidate

Experience within a similar working environment
