Category Manager

Are you a data-savvy storyteller with a knack for turning insight into impact? The Advocate Group are looking for a Category Manager to join a fast-growing FMCG business leading the way in their sector.

The Category Manager will help shape the retail strategy with major UK grocery accounts—using data, trends, and customer understanding to unlock growth. You'll be the bridge between insight and execution, influencing product listings, shelf space, and commercial success.

This is a fun close-knit team that have years of experience and knowledge to share, so a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to step up into a Category Manager role. What you'll do:

Build strong partnerships with retailers, delivering compelling insights that drive mutual growth.
Identify trends and translate shopper data into action.
Lead high-impact category reviews and strategic planning sessions.
Support sales with data-led recommendations that win space and distribution.

What you bring:

2–3 years' category management experience in FMCG or retail.
A head for data and a heart for commercial strategy.
Confident presenter with strong Excel and storytelling skills.
Able to influence cross-functionally and externally with ease.
