Job Description:
As a Transport Planner at you will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing transportation routes to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency. You will work closely with their logistics team, drivers, and customers to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and optimize transportation routes for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate with drivers, contractors , and customers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Monitor and track shipments, resolving any issues that arise during transit.
- Analyze transportation data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations and safety standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with carriers and vendors.
- Prepare and maintain transportation schedules and reports.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to improve overall supply chain performance.
Requirements:
- Relavent experience as a transport planner or in a similar role within the logistics industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills..
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of regulations and safety standards.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
