Your new companyA well-known international manufacturer is looking to recruit a Financial Accountant following the recent retirement of a valued member of staff, alongside an increase in responsibility for the Durham site. Your new roleWorking closely with Durham-based FD, you will be key to ensuring the financial operations are managed smoothly and reported on accurately. A key part of the role will be the responsibility for the reporting and analysis of the overhead costs, with key duties including:-
- Monthly overheard report preparation
- Variance analysis
- Balance sheet reconciliation
- Budgetary review
- Forecasting
- Variance analysis
- Preparation of reports
What you'll need to succeedIdeally, you will be actively studying towards a formal accountancy qualification such as ACCA, ACA or CIMA. You will already have at least 2 years' experience of working within finance, ideally already taking responsibility for the Balance Sheet and key accounts. Further knowledge of an ERP system such as SAP, JD Edwards or Oracle would be an advantage. Strong excel skills and an ability to use Pivot Tables, V Looks and Sum Ifs is essential.
