Empowering Learning require a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work 1-1 and classroom based with students in a PRU setting in the Durham area. The role is 5 days a week, Monday to Friday 8.15am-15.45pm but may become permanent for the right person.

The school is very focused on supporting students on their learning journey and want continuity for the students due to some of their trauma backgrounds.

  • Hold a Level 3 TA qualification and experience of supporting students with SEMH needs.
  • Be responsive, flexible and sensitive to the differing needs of pupils. Including those with SEND.
  • To support a student with SEMH needs

  • Be able to work 1-1 and with small groups
  • Communicate effectively in a variety of situations
  • Ability to de escalate situations
