Heels & Brogues Recruitment are supporting a client that are a leading provider of transportation and logistics solutions, committed to delivering exceptional service to our clients. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Manager to join our dynamic finance team.

Job Title: Finance Manager

Location: Durham

Salary: up to 50K (Depending on Experience)

Key Responsibilities Finance Manager:

  • Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Prepare and analyse financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to enhance profitability and cash flow.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Oversee cash flow management and financial risk assessments.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager or in a senior financial role.
  • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
