A fantastic opportunity has arisen within our clients in-house Marketing team. They are looking for a Group Marketing Manager to join their management team on a 12-month contract to provide maternity cover.

As the Group Marketing Manager, you will report to the Commercial Director and will be responsible for managing, motivating and leading a team of five fantastic support staff. You will have a pivotal role in shaping the company’s marketing and communication strategy whilst driving productivity, sales and revenue across all departments.

The marketing team is responsible for promoting all their products and services as well as representing the Group manufacturer brands

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, motivate and lead a fantastic team of five people.
  • Use management tools such as Jira and Range to help plan & organise team workflows and efficiencies on a day-to-day basis.
  • Creating team and individual targets to help achieve overall marketing KPI’s.
  • To plan, develop, implement and measure a range of B2C and B2B marketing campaigns.
  • Produce acquisition and retention-based strategies.
  • Develop quarterly campaigns in-line with manufacturer brand strategies.
  • Delivering and measuring results against KPIs.
  • Maintain and adhere to the marketing budget.
  • Work collaboratively with a diverse staff team to create and manage cross-organisational integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Source and maximise opportunities to help build fantastic relationships with external partners, sponsors, charities, community and suppliers.
  • Working and negotiating with media providers to produce the most impactful and effective marketing communication strategies.
  • Manage and maintain efficiencies whilst working with external agencies. External agencies include Google Advertising, website maintenance and stock feed generation. Negotiating annually on services and agencies fees.
  • Ensure manufacturer franchise standards are met, and compliance is achieved across all marketing channels.
  • React to manufacturer marketing demands and changes in campaign strategies.
  • Comply with legislative standards which includes FCA advertising standards and the GDPR.
  • Produce result driven reports and analyse successes to help create future campaign directions.
  • Support the team with marketing operations.

Key Skills and Experience

  • The individual will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Marketing Management preferably in an in-house environment. Retail industry would be advantageous.
  • People Management experience
  • Excellent communication, time management and planning skills are essential for this role.
  • We’re looking for someone who is a self-starter, enthusiastic and self-motivated to deliver the best and most impactful marketing strategies. You’ll have a positive and upbeat approach that will motivate others.
  • The successful candidate will also be hands-on with marketing to help the team during high pressure time periods. You’ll be able to therefore support with website updates, design and graphics, email creation, content ideas and copywriting when needed.
