We are working on behalf of awell-established and respected regional M&E contractor delivering top-quality mechanical and electrical solutions across commercial, education, and other key sectors. With a strong portfolio of successful projects and a growing pipeline, theyare looking for a meticulous and driven Mechanical Estimator to join theirexpanding team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed and accurate mechanical estimates for commercial, education, and other project sectors.
- Analyze project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to identify materials, labor, and resource requirements.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations and ensure accurate pricing.
- Develop comprehensive cost breakdowns and submit detailed tender proposals.
- Assist in value engineering solutions to provide competitive pricing while maintaining quality.
- Support project handovers by providing key insights and knowledge on awarded contracts.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, pricing, and best practices.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the construction or M&E sector.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, HVAC, and plumbing installations.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Full UK driving license.
