A leading provider of innovative electrical solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimation Engineer to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for engineering projects, supporting the sales team with competitive quotes, and ensuring the profitability of contracts. This role requires strong technical knowledge in electrical engineering and the ability to effectively engage with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Quote Management:

  • Follow up on prepared quotes to ensure client engagement and timely responses.
  • Track and manage the status of all quotes, addressing client queries and concerns promptly.

Quote Preparation:

  • Utilize Bluebeam software (or alternatives like Countfire) to prepare detailed and accurate quotes.
  • Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and documentation to estimate time, cost, materials, and labor requirements.

Design and Consultation:

  • Design electrical systems tailored to client requirements while adhering to industry standards.
  • Provide technical support and consultation, ensuring efficient, cost-effective solutions meet client needs.

Client Interaction:

  • Maintain strong relationships through regular communication and exceptional customer service.
  • Assist clients in understanding the scope of work, pricing structures, and project timelines.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure client needs are met and projects transition smoothly for execution.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to confirm designs are feasible and meet technical specifications.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in Electrical Engineering or related engineering disciplines.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales estimating, preferably in the electrical industry.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam/Countfire or similar software for preparing quotes and designs.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and construction methods.
