Elvet Recruitment has been appointed to recruit for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a well established contractor who are targeting some impressive growth plans, to work on a number of social housing refurbishment works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Value: Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with maximum value for clients and stakeholders.

  • Constantly review own performance and strive to improve quality in all tasks.

  • Adapt to new tasks and industry changes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experienced in quantity surveying and knowledgeable in all areas of construction techniques and mixed-tenure schemes
  • Possess a high level of mathematical ability and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Excel is essential for the role
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills able to work of a wider team
  • Manage own workload
  • Thorough understanding of Surveying and Estimating
  • Good understanding of strategic objectives and targeting financial return
  • Working with procure to pay/cost reporting and document storage systems
