School Finance Assistant required for a new, long term role in Durham. This is part-time but can be increased to full time for the right person. The hours are term-time only with most of the school holidays unpaid.The RoleUndertake a range of financial procedures, including placing orders, invoicing, preparation of cheques, banking cash, issuing receipts and dealing with supplier issues under the guidance of Senior finance staff. You will also be required to resolve financial queries e.g. over order processing, financial accounts and communicate well with all colleagues, parents and students.It will be the successful candidate’s responsibility to maintain records, monitor budget usage and produce a range of data and reports for the senior team.The school use parent pay to set up payments for parents and the successful candidate will be responsible for this too, coupled with logging all monies received from parents.The PersonPrevious experience of working within a school environment would be ideal, failing that experience of using Oracle is desirable too.None of this would be beyond a candidate with a solid grasp of general accounts though and people with this are also encouraged to apply.Remuneration£12.50 - £13.00 per hour.This is a temporary position and Corepeople Recruitment Limited will be acting as an employment business for the supply of temporary workers to the hirer.By applying for this job you accept the T&C's, Privacy Policy and Disclaimers which can be found on our website.
