Overview:We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Residential Childcare Support Workers to join our client.

A specalised residential home designed to support up to four children aged 8 to 17 who haveexperiecned mental health disorders. Includingself-harming behaviors, trauma, attachment issues, and learning disabilities. The home offers a safe, nurturing environment where young people can heal, grow, and develop the skills needed for a brighter future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Emotional and Behavioral Support:Work closely with children to understand their individual needs, helping them manage their mental health challenges and develop coping strategies.
  • Foster Positive Relationships:Build trusting relationships with the children, encouraging open communication and providing a stable and supportive presence.
  • Promote Development and Independence:Engage the children in activities that promote their personal development, independence, and social skills, tailored to their abilities and needs.
  • Safety and Wellbeing:Maintain a safe, secure environment, managing challenging behaviors with compassion and in line with home policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Professionals:Work with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, social workers, and educators, to support the holistic development of each child.
  • Domestic Responsibilities:Participate in daily household tasks, including meal preparation, cleaning, and organizing activities, ensuring a homely environment.
  • Crisis Intervention:Respond to and de-escalate crisis situations safely and effectively, providing immediate support to children in distress.

Requirements:
