Job Description:

Are you a compassionate and experienced social worker with a commitment to supporting children in care?
In this role, you will manage a caseload of looked-after children, working to ensure that their needs are met and that they achieve the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing a caseload of looked-after children, ensuring that their care plans are effectively implemented and regularly reviewed.
  • Developing and implementing care plans that promote stability, well-being, and positive outcomes for the children.
  • Building and maintaining strong, trusting relationships with children, carers, and families.
  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, external agencies, and other professionals to coordinate services and resources.
  • Attending and contributing to meetings, such as child protection conferences, reviews, and court proceedings.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and looked-after children.


Qualifications:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in a social work role, particularly working with looked-after children or within a children in care service..
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with children, carers, and professionals.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to social care and child protection.
