Role Overview:
We are seeking experienced Support Workers who are skilled in managing challenging behaviours and have a strong understanding of autism spectrum disorders. You will play a vital role in helping clients achieve their personal goals and fostering a positive, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalised care and support to individuals with autism and challenging behaviours
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and support plans
  • Assist clients with daily living activities and promote their independence
  • Build trusting relationships and encourage social interaction
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of care plans and progress
  • Collaborate with team members and external professionals to ensure comprehensive emotional support
  • Ability to communicate appropriately, both verbally and in writing and to respect confidentiality.
  • Flexibility to work unsociable hours/sleep ins/night duty (additional pay for sleep ins)
  • Supporting people with a learning disability to maintain relationships and social networks.
  • Encourage individuals we support to make healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Ensuring the people we support, do not experience avoidable physical health conditions.
  • Follow Intervention plans, including Positive Behaviour Support plans.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working with individuals with autism and challenging behaviours
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CPR, First Aid, or specific training in autism support)
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanour
  • Ability to work independently and within a team setting

Requirements:

  • Have reference contact information from present and previous employments
  • Must have a minimum of 12 months UK experience
