Randstad is collaborating with the CLA Team in Durham to recruit a skilled and compassionate Social Worker.

Job Description:
As a Social Worker within the CLA Team, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of children and young people who are looked after by the local authority.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of children and young people in care, ensuring their needs are met through comprehensive care planning.
  • Conduct regular assessments and reviews of care plans to ensure they are effective and aligned with the best interests of the child.
  • Work closely with foster carers, residential staff, and other professionals to provide a stable and nurturing environment for each child.
  • Advocate for the rights and needs of children looked after, ensuring their voices are heard and their wishes are considered in care planning.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience working with children and families, particularly within a CLA or similar team.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation, including the Children Act and regulations concerning children in care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.
