About Us:
Randstad is proud to partner with the Children Looked After (CLA) Team 5 in Durham to recruit a dedicated Social Worker.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a committed team working to provide vital support and care for children and young people in care.

Job Description:
As a Social Worker in the CLA Team 5, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of children and young people in care.
You will work closely with children, carers, and other professionals to develop care plans, support placements, and ensure that each child's needs are being met.
Your work will directly contribute to improving the lives of vulnerable children, ensuring their safety and well-being.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of children in care, ensuring their needs are assessed and supported.
  • Develop and review care plans to promote the health, safety, and well-being of children in care.
  • Work collaboratively with foster carers, residential staff, and multi-agency teams to provide comprehensive support to children.
  • Attend and contribute to statutory reviews, care planning meetings, and court hearings where necessary.
  • Provide support to children transitioning out of care, including into adoption, fostering, or independent living.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience working within children's services, particularly with children looked after or in a similar statutory social work role.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, care planning processes, and safeguarding policies.
