Support Service Coordinator Vacancy to be filled! 

Venn Group have been approached by one of the largest Housing Associations in the North East and would like to introduce the following position available

Location:         Durham

Rate:               £29,627

Length:           Fixed term Until March 2025

Hours:             37 hours per week with ocassional weekend/on call working

The overall aim of the role is:

  • Run activities linked to seasonal events or celebrations or activities that help improve social isolation and specific learning linked to support
  • Work with individuals to create person centred support plans and hold weekly keywork sessions to achieve their goals identified
  • Manage risk and safeguarding for all residents
  • Attend multi agency meetings and provide written reports
  • Manage void properties and allocations

The requirements for the role are:

  • Able to prioritise your workload and supportive in a non-judgmental way as you’ll be responsible for enabling customers to reach their potential and for identifying their goals through individual support plans
  • You’ll support customers in a flexible and person-centred way, so you must have emotional resilience and the ability to deal constructively with challenging behaviour
  • Experience of supporting vulnerable client groups, along with a good understanding of adult and child safeguarding and the complexities that it might bring
  • The role involves lone working at times, so you’ll be able to thrive in your own environment, as well as part of a team
