Transport Planner/Installation Co-ordinator
Earls Barton
Hours - Monday to Friday40hrs (Office based)
Salary - 27-32k DOE

Our well established client based in Earls Barton is recruiting a Transport/Installation Co-ordinator on a permanent basis - initially the role is to support maternity cover but will transition into a related role. The company was founded in 2005 and is a leading innovator within its field, owned and operated by its management team, the company has continually grown since its inception and is known for providing quality products.

The role:-

You will be responsible for co-ordinating the day-to-day workload and future planning associated with the operations of the UK business.

Duties include:

  • Co-ordination of transport & labour
  • Sub-contractor management
  • Verification of documentation
Function in Detail:

  • Co-ordination of transport & labour including Company employees and subcontractors:
  • Co-ordinate the scheduling and execution of installations both managing internal teams and subcontractors
  • Receive work programmes from customers/ Project Managers
  • Assess jobs, plan routes and source appropriate labour & transport
  • Maintain the central Task Schedule with accurate and up-to-date information
  • Deal with any issues & changes, and communicate as appropriate
  • Upload information to our task allocation system, analysethe reports created following job completion, and action as necessary
  • Communicate task information, requirements, instructions and issues
  • Analyse driver tachograph reports in accordance with Tachograph Law & Working Time Regulations
  • Generation of purchase orders / approve associated invoices
  • Assist with timesheets and expenses
  • Verification of documentation:
  • Review internal and external documents to ensure accuracy, information consistency and achievability (such as installation job reports, site surveys, quotations, and customer requirements and ensure details match)
  • Raise any errors / queries as appropriate

  • Good interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
  • Initiative
  • Attention to detail
  • Comfortable in communicating at all levels even those in leadership roles
  • Ability to problem solve and work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
  • Team player
  • Capable of working both collaboratively in teams and independently
  • IT applications (good working knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Driving licence
Desirable:
  • Willingness to travel if required
  • Some experience of Tachograph and O License operation
