One of the top priorities is an experienced Consultant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team and contribute to a range of exciting current and upcoming projects.

Hybrid Working Arrangement:

This role offers a flexible hybrid working environment after successful completion of the probationary period. You will work two days from home and three days in the office, providing a great balance between work and personal life.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Consultant Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in delivering value-driven solutions for clients. Key responsibilities include:

  • Client Consultation: Understand client needs and project requirements.
  • Feasibility Studies: Assess the viability of proposed projects.
  • Cost Estimation: Accurately calculate costs for materials, labour, and timeframes.
  • Tender Preparation: Compile tender packages and contracts, including detailed bills of quantities.
  • Risk Management & Value Engineering: Implement strategies for controlling costs and reducing risks.
  • Cost Analysis: Monitor and analyse repair and maintenance costs.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and manage project schedules.
  • Subcontractor Payments: Oversee and value subcontractor work for payments.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects meet relevant regulations and quality standards.
  • Budget Reporting: Provide budget updates and progress reports to clients.
  • Dispute Resolution: Offer advice on claims, disputes, and contractual issues.

Candidate Requirements:

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Minimum of three years' experience in construction and development.
  • Strong background in workload demand planning and budget management.
  • Familiarity with procurement routes and estimating software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other relevant tools.
  • Ability to track project progress and control budgets effectively.
  • Strong business acumen with experience in financial planning.
